Hello.
Currently working on a git, and starting Monday it became too big, 5.6GB. The thing is on my local machine is only around 300MB, and in total it can reach as big as 900MB.
Tried doing git gc but nothing changed. It still is 5.6GB.
Does anyone know hot to solve this issue?
Thank you
Hi @Gonçalo,
This issue may occur if the Bitbucket repo has dangling commits that increase its size. In this case, the gc is needed on the remote repo.
I can see that you opened a support ticket for this issue, an engineer ran a git gc on the Bitbucket repo and the repo's size has been reduced.
If you need anything further, please feel free to let us know.
Kind regards,
Theodora
Beginning on April 4th, we will be implementing push limits. This means that your push cannot be completed if it is over 3.5 GB. If you do attempt to complete a push that is over 3.5 GB, it will fail...
