I have setup a workspace access ssh key as described in

https://confluence.atlassian.com/bbkb/difference-between-repository-project-and-workspace-access-keys-1188785759.html

This works as expected for pulling and pushing changes. I want to push to a resticted branch using these keys but i can't add them when trying to add exception in the branch restrictions, is this possible?

Hi Andrew,

Unfortunately, access tokens are unable to be added to branch restrictions (this includes RAT, WAT and PAT). This is because at present, a user that is entered into branch restrictions needs to have an associated Bitbucket Cloud account (and these access tokens are not tied to an account).

There is an existing feature request ticket with our developers, however to include this. Please feel free to Watch this for future updates and Vote for it to improve its visibility with regard to customer demand:

I can see that you belong to a Premium workspace, may I ask if you entered this specific workspaceID when raising this ticket on Atlassian support? It should have directed you to our formal support portal rather than the community, as you are entitled to this level of support.

Cheers!

- Ben (Bitbucket Cloud Support)
