Hey

We are moving from server to Data Center and I am trying to find out if Bitbucket DC supports on-premise pipeline runners, the DevOps team have said not, but it seems a bit strange that a DC can't run its own pipelines in its runners but Cloud can support this

Can someone clarify?

Hi Phin,

Pipelines is a cloud-only feature, if you have a need to run builds, Bamboo is the complementary product for Bitbucket Server/DC.

See @Christian Glockner's answer.

Also, let me note that while Bitbucket Server and DC are built from the same codebase (with some differences in features), Bitbucket Cloud is not. It is a completely different product, acquired by Atlassian long time ago. It shares the brand with the self-hosted versions, but there are major differences in features!

So, assuming that all Cloud features are available on DC and vice versa is "not safe".
