I got this error when I tried to SSH: The RSA host key for bitbucket.org has changed.
I had not logged in for some time.
So on Bitbucket, when I tried to log in to change this, I am asked to click on a verification link but I never receive the email.
Could you check if **REDACTED** is on the block list?
G'day!
We updated our host key back in May 2023, please follow our documentation below to update your host key locally:
As for that email you've mentioned (I've redacted this as this is a public forum), there's no Bitbucket Cloud account connected to that email and all emails were blocked by your mail server with the following SMTP bounce:
554 5.7.1 [internal] recipient address was suppressed due to customer policy
This error is encountered on your mail server when any of the following conditions are met:
* The address was invalid (address does not exist)
* The user clicked the list-unsubscribe header
* The user clicked one of your emails and flagged it as SPAM. This FBL (FeedBack Loop) event should add that email address to your Suppression List.
I have removed the email address from the suppression list, so you should receive emails now - please attempt that verification process again.
I would also suggest reaching out to your email administrator to whitelist our email accounts as follows, to prevent the issue from occurring in future:
noreply@am.atlassian.com
no-reply@atlassian.com
noreply@mailer.atlassian.com
notifications-noreply@bitbucket.org
For your reference, we also have a knowledge article online that details the email troubleshooting process in further detail:
Email notifications not working
Cheers!
