Hello!
The same question was asked two years ago but didn't get any response : https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Bitbucket-questions/remote-History-rewrites-not-allowed-on/qaq-p/2017760
I’m encountering the same issue, we have certain branches, like release or master, where we don't want to allow history rewrites.
However, for feature branches, we'd like to enable history rewriting to maintain a cleaner commit history before merging.
The "Allow rewriting history" checkbox is enabled for the relevant branch patterns, but when we try to force push a feature branch, it is rejected by the remote (pre-receive hook declined).
Am I missing something in the configuration?
Thanks in advance,
Jennifer
