Need to run git gc on remote repo

AliArgos September 4, 2019

One of the repositories of our company is locked due to reach the maximum limit of repository size. I found it cause by large files committed to repo, after transferring the large files to LFS, the repo size is still more than 2GB. Because the repo is locked, I'm unable to fix it by tools such as BFG cleaner.

Can you please run a "git gc" on the server to see if this fixes the issue?

Hi

Thank you for your response.

I did it yesterday, but there is no response yet. Because of the urgency, I wrote it again, our developer team can not commit new changes.

Thanks,

Ali

Hi @AliArgos,

I triggered garbage collection for the repository in question, it has significantly reduced in size.

Cheers,
Daniil
