Is automatic fork syncing still available on bitbucket.org?

Tony Field July 2, 2021

Is the "enable fork sync" feature no longer available on Bitbucket Cloud?  I have used it on on-prem versions of bitbucket 6, but the option depicted here does not seem to be available

https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/keeping-forks-synchronized-776639961.html#Keepingforkssynchronized-Enablingautomaticforksyncing

"Manual" sync through the Bitbucket UI seems to work (as long as I have my branches set up with the same "main" branch, but automatic sync would be nice.

Thanks!

Hi @Tony Field

Welcome to the community.

I'm afraid the automatic fork syncing feature is not yet available on Bitbucket Cloud.
We do have an existing feature request for it that can be located through this link. - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BCLOUD-12170
You can upvote and watch it for now so that you'll be notified of any updates from our team when the feature becomes available on Bitbucket Cloud.
Please do note that we don't have an exact ETA for the feature request as all new features will be implemented according to our policy here.

Right now, you'll have to continue to manually sync your forked repository from the parent repo.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,
Mark C
