Import from private Gitlab repository failing

Hello I'm trying to import a private repository from gitlab. On the import repository screen on bitbucket Im add my username and password and get the following error:>

13:14:34 remote: HTTP Basic: Access denied

13:14:34 fatal: Authentication failed for 'https://gitlab.com/my/username/my-project.git/'13:14:34 Remote Git clone failed: <class 'bitbucket.apps.asyncx.tasks.ImportException'>: Command failed. Return value: 128

Hello @Luis Becerril ,

It looks like the your credentials are incorrect, so Bitbucket can't clone the repository from GitLab. In case you have 2FA enabled in GitLab, you can't use your regular password for cloning, you should use a Personal Access Token instead.
