I was trying to add my ssh key to BitBucket and it complained that somebody was already using that key. That can only be me so it must be in one of my accounts.
Checking my password manager, I have a couple of other accounts here but they only have bitbucket.org user IDs. Not id.atlassian.com email addresses.
Is it possible to login to those accounts? Or can an atlassian person trigger an email to an associated email address or something? I have the user ID and password. But there's nowhere I can use it.
Hi @Patrik S, I have this same question -- I had an older account, simply "mdelvecchio" (https://bitbucket.org/ <redacted>). I tried logging into it and it didn't seem to work. I've created a new account now (this one). Can you create a ticket for me to link them?
Hello @matt del vecchio ,
that workspace is tied to a different email than the one you used to post this question.
I'm afraid we from support are not able to share email addresses due to privacy reasons.
You can try to login in Bitbucket Cloud with any other email you own and check if the workspace is under that account. When trying to login with a different email, if Bitbucket asks you to create a new account, this means there's not currently an account associated with that email, so that would not be the email you are looking for.
Thank you, @matt del vecchio !

Yeah what makes it challenging/frustrating is that the old login did not require an email as part of the credential -- I saved the login in my password manager as the username & password, not the email. We used to be able to login with the a username, ie "mdelvecchio".
I'll have to try running thru possible email addresses, if this is no way to login with username & password any longer?

@Patrik S hey Patrik, I tried my primary two email addresses, and they both wanted me to created accounts. This being one of them. I am mystified about why I can't sign in any longer. My password manager only reports it via username:
...which is also how the website modal for my repo asks for credentials:
...so should I be able to authenticate with username & password (not email)?
I don't know why it used to work last year, but doesn't now. Is there definitely another email address listed? Is there a reset-password form that will show me a partial for the email address so I know which inbox to visit to retrieve/change it?

@Patrik S - ah, I found the other email address, a former one I used to use. I'll have to play "email shuffle" and edit my now-two accounts to straighten it out.

Hi @mdelvecchio, it's good to hear that you found the email address of the account. Please feel free to reach out if you need anything else!

Hello @Kevin Lentin and welcome to the Community!
I've raised an internal support ticket to assist you further. You should be receiving an email with the ticket link soon. In case you don't receive it, please let us know so I can share it with you here (only you and Atlassian staff can see the ticket)
Thank you, @Kevin Lentin !
