How to copy my repository into another repository

Extenet February 27, 2019

I am new to bitbucket and development in general. My developer has asked me to create a repository online in bitbucket, which I did. He now wants me to copy this repository to another repo he created. The goal is to keep old repo on the old version of the software (when the local environment is upgraded) and new code in another repo (whatever that means).

So i have created another repo and now i need help on how to copy files from old repo into this new repo?

Hi, welcome to the Community!

Assuming you have the code locally on your computer, you can now upload those files to the new repo you created. To do so, please follow the instructions in the section 'I have existing files on my local system' of the article Repository set up. My understanding is that you're already using Git, so you can go ahead with the option 'Push versioned code to an empty repository'.

Hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.

Have a good day,

Ana
