How long until my repo size increases after upgrading to standard

Thom Detko October 5, 2019

How long does it take for the repo size to go up from 2gb to 5gb? We are in a time sensitive project and reached the limit. We upgrades to the standard 5gb plan and have not seen it change although you have already taken our money. This is not cool. When will repo size go up!.

Hello @Thom Detko,

Thanks for reaching out.

I'm afraid there's no 5gb limit for the repository size: there's 1gb soft limit and 2gb hard limit which can't be increased: they're same for all plans, as they are rather related to the performance of the repository. Did you maybe mean Git LFS storage size? It indeed has a 5gb limit for standard plan (5+ users), and for academic plan accounts. However, that storage doesn't include the repository itself. You need set up your repository so that some files are stored in LFS storage rather than in the repository itself.

Please elaborate on what you actually meant by upgrading to the standard 5gb plan.

Cheers,
Daniil
