Hello everyone!

I just realised today that I am unable to access my BitBucket workspace profile URL which is set to public visibility.

Everytime I try to open the URL, it asks me to log in without showing the repositories in my account that are public.

If I try to open a certain repository's URL (hosted inside this account), it shows me the content but the workspace like I stated before does not open.

I am unable to understand why this is happening.

Can anybody tell me how do I make the link accessible so that when one opens, the repositories can be seen?

Thanks in advance!

P.S - I am on a free acount.

Hello @Sujit ,

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

With the recent release of the single workspace scope navigation, when accessing the URL of a Bitbucket Public workspace (https://bitbucket.org/<workspaceID>) the user will be redirected to the Your Work page which displays the pull requests and repositories you've been working on.

Since the Your Work page contains personalized information, the user will be required to log in in order to view it.

With that in mind, in order to visualize the list of all the public repositories within a public workspace without being logged in, users can access the following URL :

Replacing the <workspaceID> placeholder with the workspace you are trying to access. This should present you with the list of public repositories within that workspace even when logged off.

I've also recently authored an article about this topic, which you can check at the following link:

Thank you, @Sujit !

Hi @Patrik S

Is there any plan to change this back? I use the shorter format in my CV as it’s friendlier. The longer format just doesn’t look right on my CV

Hello @adonozo ,

At this moment we don't have plans to move to the old URL format. One option I can think of would be to use a URL shortener, so the link you would put in the CV would be smaller.

You're also welcome to provide your feedback on the new single-workspace view by accessing https://bitbucket.org, clicking on the help button in the top right corner, and selecting the Give Feedback option.

Thank you, @adonozo  !

Good to know!

But this scares off people trying to access https://bitbucket.org/<workspaceID>, they are immediately presented with a login request.

Would it be an idea to present ..../repositories and/or ..../projects in the login dialogue:
