Deploy to live server without SSH.

Question

I am new to git, bitbucket and sourcetree. In the course of following tutorials on using these to manage my Wordpress development I discovered my hosting package doesn't support SSH. Most tutorials are unclear for a beginner on how to deploy from bitbucket to a live server. Is it possible to do this with https, an alternative to SSH or am I out of luck?

I am guessing that most hosting for wordpress support FTP right? You could write a script to push content from the Git server to your Wordpress sites using the FTP protocol.
