Comparing the head commits from two branches gives wrong results

We are using Server BitBucket  version 5.13.1

I am preparing to integrate two branches and am comparing the two head commits.

I have the following problems:

1. The versions shown in the diff columns don't seem to belong to commits being compared.
2. It is not predictable which diff goes in which diff column.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
