×We would like to migrate our data from our Bitbucket Server instance to Bitbucket Cloud since Server is no longer supported.
We downloaded and installed the Bitbucket Cloud Migration Assistant (BCMA), requested the free Cloud Migration Trial and configured the migration.
All repositories and users were supposed to be migrated.
The migration then fails with no hint what has happened. In the "Details" page, it says that 59 out of 59 users failed to be migrated.
In the Bitbucket logs, I found the following message:
2024-11-15 12:23:14,820 WARN [bcma-3] c.a.b.plugin.bcma.plan.PlanService Migration failed for plan 'attempt3' with error: Problem with creation for 59 out of 59 users, created 0 and skipped 0 [1e8272ea-4946-4069-ad86-660873e599d5::bitbucketUserCreation]
It may be important to note that all the users are connected to Microsoft 365 user profiles through Active Directory.
However the logs don't give any hint why the creation of the users on the Bitbucket Cloud workspace failed.
What can we do to find out where the problem is, and possibly solve it?
Hi Oliver and welcome to the community!
I suggest creating a support ticket via https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/ for further investigation. In "What can we help you with?" please select Migration support and then fill in the rest of the details. It would also be helpful to have a support zip from Bitbucket Server, you can create it following the instructions on the following page and then attach it to the support ticket:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/support/create-a-support-zip-790796819.html
Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Theodora
