how can i reduce my project size

Hi, there is big problem with my large JSON file in my project. my project size is around 1.5 GB, i want to reduce size. if can i remove my Json file, is there any size can reduce ?  or is there any other process i should take. if i remove Json file the history will remove ?. i dnt wanna history of json files, but when i checkin my code changes and Json file in single commit. How can i do it.
