how can we migrate a project /plan in a bamboo

linu joseph January 22, 2019

hi ,

We are working on moving few projects/plans existing on cloud bamboo to on-prem bamboo.

Is there any way we can do this through bamboo console to export the required projects/plans & import to on-prem bamboo?

Hi @linu joseph,

When you say cloud Bamboo, were you referring to Bitbucket pipelines?
Or is it a Bamboo server hosted outside of your company?

Atlassian deprecated Bamboo cloud instances a long time ago, this is why I'm kind of confused with your statement.

Anyway, there is no automatic way to migrate plans from one instance to another. The best you can do, in case we are talking about migrating between two Bamboo server instances, is trying the Bamboo specs feature (Bamboo Specs - Atlassian Documentation). That will still require a decent set of steps, so if the plan is simple it is better to just manually create another with the same settings.

Considering this is Bitbucket pipelines than you will need to migrate your plans manually, sorry. There is no feature for this.
