Pros and Cons of setting up a bamboo server locally or using this service in the cloud

My boss wants us to set bamboo up in our network rather than using the cloud service.  Do others have comments on this?  Any success stories out there choosing either of these options?

Thanks

Bamboo is no longer available through Atlassian cloud, so basically it might as well be on prem. This isn't something we were particularly happy about here since their replacement (bitbucket pipelines) just isn't up to par yet (STILL YEARS AFTER THEY DID THIS).

Hi, @Craig Hughes! Welcome to the community. I'm going to move your post to the Bamboo collection, where I hope you can get a good answer from the experts there. Feel free to introduce yourself, too!
