I have a question, we are running Bamboo (server) on version 6.4 and we are planning to update Bamboo to newest version (6.8). Bamboo is connected to repositories on our Bitbucket (server) 5.8.2. My question is if we have to update Bitbucket as well. Thanks for any response
I see you are new here, welcome to our community!
The rule of the thumb is:
you should ensure your applications are using the same major version of AppLinks to resolve any potential incompatibilities.
This document is the source of truth in this topic:
From the document above you can see that Bamboo 6.8 uses application links 5.4.12. Bitbucket server 5.8.2 uses application links 5.4.2. The major version matches and therefore the product is compatible.
I hope that answers your question.
