I'd want to move my bamboo service to the other server

Edited
Deleted user Oct 20, 2020

My bamboo version is 5.6.2 on Linux of the local server. My server is very old, and performance is not good.

And I'd decided to move to AWS. So I installed on AWS, then when I connect the new URL, I saw this message.

"Bamboo bootstrap failed: Failed to run pre-bootstrap upgrade tasks."

So I'm wondering why this message is showing.

I don't want to upgrade. You just discard the old server and move it to the new one.

Hi Team,

To move Bamboo to a different server, just follow this link: Cloning a Bamboo instance.

As this is a very old version, you will need to ensure that the AWS instance meets all the requirements for Bamboo 5.6 mentioned in this archived page: Supported platforms. If this is not met, you encounter issues resulting in installation failure.

You will get more details on the reason by reviewing the logs: <bamboo-home>/logs/atlassian-bamboo.log

Cheers,
Jey

Hi Jey,

Thank you for your answer.

Yes, I knew the link about Cloning. And I'd done the same method.

Great! Have you also gone through the logs that I proposed? Did it give a hint?

Cheers,
Jey
