In our Bamboo server instance, we have 1 project with 225 plans. and also we are using Bmaboo scan to import plans form Bitbucket , of 2 linked repositories and 2 applications links . We don't have any remote Agents in our case.
Please let me know how much time it will take to migrate data center Bamboo? also I need the License cost please.
Hi Devendar,
Updating Bamboo server to Bamboo DC is simple.
To upgrade from Bamboo Server to Bamboo Data Center:
1> In the upper-right corner of the screen, select
Administration bamboo administration icon > Overview.
2> Under System, select License details.
3> Enter your Bamboo Data Center license key.
4> Select Save new license.

Depending on whether you actually want to use any of the specific Bamboo Data Center (DC) features, and your current Bamboo Server version, it might not take any time at all, because you can just drop in a Bamboo Data Center license to an existing Bamboo Server installation and continue working without a restart even, see the Atlassian team's answer to Do you not offer the Bamboo server version download? (semantically your Bamboo version should be >= release 8.0, but that's not enforced: we have customers who are seemingly using DC licenses with Bamboo 6.x without issues [1]).
As for Bamboo Data Center pricing, IIRC licenses cost even slightly less than the equivalent (former) new Server licenses, though you have to pay the same amount for subsequent renewals, resulting in an overall cost increase for the same number of agents.
[1] Please note that this is just a personal observation and not in any way official advise, so Atlassian might consider this a violation of their terms and/or start enforcing DC license requirements at any time!
