As I have been reading in the various documentation, the Jira Bamboo plugin is only supported by Bamboo up to version 3.2. We are running Bamboo 3.4, and I would like to trigger a plan when we do a Jira release. The web documentation for Jira 4.4 still says that the plugin needs to be installed, and further when looking at the info from the 3.4 install for plan variables, it will reference variables that can be obtained from this plugin.
Is this supported natively now? Is there going to be a plugin available for Jira 4.4 to trigger builds in Bamboo 3.4?
With Bamboo 3.2 JIRA Bamboo plugin (and more specifically, Bamboo Release Management Plugin) has been replaced with new, rewritten version making use of native support for JIRA-Bamboo integration.
As the blog explains, on JIRA side, you will still need this plugin.
OK, I actually have this installed already as part of the system plugins. Documentation was a bit confusing.
thanks.
