Bamboo Email Configuration Failed

We switched our SMTP vendor away from gmail. I setup the email configuration but when I send a test email, I receive the following error:

The mail settings you entered were not valid. Error thrown was: javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not convert socket to TLS; nested exception is: javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Received fatal alert: protocol_version

Bamboo Version: 6.9.2 (build: 60911 - 7/4/19)

Java Version: 1.8.0_111

Using SMTP (not JNDI)

Port: 587

Use TLS is ticked

Username and Password are correct

I have scoured both the configs in <BambooInstall>/bin and Windows Registry, there are no options specifying using TLS v1.0 or v1.1

My searches point to TLS version...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you Eduardo, I did find this bug, I didn't think it was relevant due to our version being 6.9, but I applied the work around and it is working now.

Thanks again, John
