Bamboo 6.6 and Oracle 11.2.0.4

bgeniusca September 26, 2018

I tried setting up Bamboo 6.6 with Oracle 11.2.0.4, and AFTER it created all the objects in the database, it got stuck, and I found the following in the logs:

2018-09-26 14:26:27,523 FATAL [performSetupDatabaseConnectionBackgroundThread] [DefaultBootstrapManager] Validation tests failed: [Task 51111 failed with exception: Bamboo doesn't support Oracle version Oracle Database 11g Release 11.2.0.4.0 - 64bit Production
With the Real Application Clusters and Automatic Storage Management options. Please check https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/BAMBOO/Supported+Platforms for more information.]

Since the Oracle JDBC driver supports both 12 and 11.2, is there any way I can get Bamboo 6.6 to work with Oracle 11.2.0.4?

Thanks,

Hi Maury,

I'm afraid not. We dropped support for Oracle 11g in Bamboo 5.12 and only support Oracle 12c in Bamboo 6.6. The last version that will work on 11g is Bamboo 5.11.

You can find our list of supported database platforms for Bamboo 6.6 below:

Thanks Jeremy.  We will have to assess our options.
