Triggering when issue is linked to a epic

Trying to find a way to trigger jira automation when an issue is linked to a epic but can't find anyway to do that

the only way I can come up with is to create a new field, trigger on issue update and check if the current epic for the issue is the same as the new field i created to hold an epic, if it's not the same, means epic link has been updated. either way it will now copy the epic to the new field. but this seems like a really round about way to add such a check...

Hi @Ryan

Yes, that is a known issue that changing the epic link/parent doesn't trigger yet, so the work-arounds are still needed.

Best regards,
Bill

@Bill Sheboy will make do with the workaround for now then, thanks!

Regards,

Ryan
