Hi

How does one add automation to sync all worklogs from child tasks to their parent Epic in a project (or multiple projects using the same automation)? Eg. Epic ABC-1 has child tasks ABC-2, ABC-3 and ABC-4

Epic ABC-1 can have it's own worklogs too but the below example worklogs should sync up to the parent Epic:

  • ABC-2 has worklog 1h, 5m and 3h all by user X
  • ABC-3 has worklog 10m by user Y
  • ABC-4 has worklog 2h by user Y and 15m by user Z

Resulting in 6h 30m (addition of all above) logged on parent Epic ABC-1 by the original worklog authors (and any other worklogs logged directly on parent Epic ABC-1)

Also, if the users add more, update or delete the worklogs, it should then reflect the added, updated or deleted time on the parent Epic.

Here is a screen grab of the current automation i have in place - though the add work log, update work log and delete work log all log the time additionally to the Epic where it should actually add/update/delete accordingly. i.e expecting the Epic to have the same work log total as the child issues in total, but the Epic simply appends the total that is added, updated and deleted as well instead of add/update/delete.

Hope that helps in helping me :)

Please advise?

Thank you
