Hi @Suhail Kazi ,

I am Dhiren from the Exalate Team.

Thanks for posting your question here!

Yes, it's definitely possible to link 2 issues from different Jira projects and keep them in sync using a dedicated integration solution like Exalate.

Exalate takes customization to a whole new level with the Groovy based scripting interface and it's also possible to synchronize between different Jira instances as well.

Do let me know if you have any questions or if you want to learn more about how the solution works!

Thanks, Dhiren

@Suhail Kazi hey there. Just to add one more option if you decide to explore the 3rd apps for help - ZigiOps (you can find it in the Atlassian marketplace). It's fully no-code and secure (does not store any of your data). ZigiOps can connect your Jira instances bi-directionally and sync them in a few minutes. There is a free trial so you can explore the integration tool yourself.

Regards, Diana

Hey @Suhail Kazi

you can use Jira Automation to automatically link issues. You can also extend these rules so that they update linked issues whenever an issue is updated. If you're only interested in keeping a subset of fields in sync, this works quite well, I'd say. You might want to watch the execution limits for automation though.

If you have higher synchronization needs and find the automation rules to troublesome, I'd also suggest you're looking into an issue syncing app which offer better support for more complex field types, comments or attachments, and many more.

I'm part of the team behind Backbone Issue Sync - we concentrate on making synchronization as simple as possible.

Hope you find the best solution fitting to your needs,
Matthias.

Hi @Suhail Kazi ,

There isn't anything available out of the box.

You can use this free app to sync the basic ticket info https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1229958/issue-sync-pro?tab=overview&hosting=cloud

If you have the budget for a paid app then https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213645/exalate-jira-issue-sync-more?tab=overview&hosting=cloud this one is quite good.
