Insert a template into Description field

Question

Is there a way in Jira to insert a static text template in the Description field for bugs?

I want all bug filers to include some standard information in the description field - a template will help drive that behavior without creating custom fields for all that information.

Hi @hpatani,

If you want to have prefilled fields on the native Create issue screen, you have to use the app which allows you to do it. For example, our app called Issue Templates Agent for Jira. You can define template not only for Summary and Description but also other fields.
