Hey everyone,
I was reporting the EAP of AI Agent feature in JSM over Monday Coffee and it made me think deeper about the topic so I wanted to start a discussion around the rapid evolution of AI and its potential impact on the Atlassian ecosystem, particularly in Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
Atlassian has already started integrating machine learning into its products, with features called Smarts such as smarter search, ticket assignment recommendations, and Bitbucket code reviews. However, we're seeing other major players like Microsoft and Google implementing advanced artificial general intelligence (AGI) features in their office suites and workspaces.
These AI advancements have the potential to revolutionize the way we work, providing intelligent assistants that help us with various tasks and make our workflows more efficient. With this in mind, I started wondering what the future of AI integration looks like for Atlassian products.
We know that Atlassian is exploring and experimenting with AI, but how will it compare to the aim for AGI technology being worked on by Microsoft and Google? Can we expect to see similar AI-driven features in the Atlassian ecosystem, or will they take a different approach?
I'd love to hear your thoughts on potential use cases and features you'd like to see in Atlassian products powered by AI. What are some repetitive or cumbersome tasks you face when working with Jira, Confluence, or Bitbucket that you'd like an AI assistant to take off your plate? How do you think AI technology could improve the way we work with these tools?
Please share your ideas and opinions in the comments below. Let's imagine the possibilities and discuss how AI could shape the future of Atlassian products and the way we work.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
