Hey y’all, it’s Bryan!

Here’s the thing: I believe all work has a purpose, and that purpose isn’t in the work itself, but in the value created by the work, whether that be a place for someone to sleep for the night, a person who finds community with people like them, an incredible listening experience to a new album, or even timely payment of healthcare costs by the state so Grandma can get her meds.

Generative AI (especially tools like Rovo and Atlassian Intelligence, which are grounded in our own data) allow us to get to that value faster. They help us do the work behind the work and let us focus on the purpose of that work - the outcomes that we drive towards, the change our tools enable. Sometimes, they even teach us things about ourselves we didn’t know.

That’s why I’m so excited about AI in all its forms, and I hope you are too! Now, I know this group is called “Atlassian Intelligence & Rovo” but this is a group to talk about allllll things AI/machine learning. This industry continues to move so quickly, I want us all to feel free to share what excites us, what scares us, what encourages us, and what amazes or terrifies us.

So start discussions on whatever you want - show us what you’ve built, what you’re working on, and tell us what you want to be able to do with this technology - inside the Atlassian platform and out!

That’s how we make this technology work for us.

I’m here as your group leader to help guide that conversation and share particularly awesome stuff with you here in this group (Atlassian Intelligence & Rovo). You’ll see other Atlassian folks in here, like @Kelly Stocker and @Sherif Mansour but you’ll also see our Online Community Champions in the Rovo Product Collection, which is the best place for you to get help with Rovo & Atlassian Intelligence and get factual answers to your questions about how they work.

I'm really excited about how we are applying a subset of AI (specifically NLP) to solve a real and common problem in all software endeavours - requirements.

I haven't had a chance to try out Rovo yet, but Atlassian Intelligence is a blast, to say the least. I've struggled or didn't have the time for writing detailed issue descriptions and with AI quite easy once you provide just a couple of guidelines of what the story/task is about. AI descriptions, together with suggested child issues/sub-tasks make my life easier.

Can't wait to find some spare time to try out Rovo and see what else is possible 🙂
