New "Team ID" column in the Jira "Issue" table

Hi everyone,

We're happy to announce that you can now find data on Jira issues associated with a team! This was a highly requested data point and will enable you to better report on your Jira issues.

We’ve added a new Team ID column to the “Issue” table under “Jira family of products”, which gives you a one-to-one mapping of issues to teams.

You can use this column to join the Jira “Issue” table with the “Team” table under “Organization data” to report on information such as the number of issues assigned to each team. Check out our announcement for groups and teams data for more ways to join issues with users.

Where is the data coming from?

The data for this column comes from the “Team” issue field. In Jira, you can use the field’s team-specific icon to differentiate this default issue field from any custom fields you might have with the same name.

How to get the new column

If your Atlassian Data Lake connections include products starting with Jira, this new column will automatically be available. If you don't see it, the organization admin can edit the connection and save it without making any changes. More about editing Data Lake connections.

It will be better if we could also use Team field in jira native gadgets.
