Adding 2nd Identity Manager to Access having same domain name

We are exploring adding a second Identity Manager to the org Atlassian Access.

Existing is Okta with DNS, HTTPS, and (?)Google Workspace having the same domain name verified. The question mark is because Workspace is not and hasn't been configured.

We would like to add Google Workspace to the configured managers with the aim to:

• Continue to authenticate and provision with Okta
• Push groups from Google Workspace for permissioning

When we attempted to add Workspace, it complained about the domain name already verified. The questions are

• Can we REMOVE the domain name from JUST the Google Workspace tab in the "Domains" section of the Directory in admin.atlassian.com and then add Google Workspace?
• Will that break Okta in any way?
• Are we buying trouble for ourselves?
