Yet another comment on the Jira task got lost in the email flow, if only you could manage your project via the project chat in Telegram. Good news, we have a tool just for you. Telegram Integration For Jira app allows you to connect your Jira boards to Telegram, so you see all communication right in the messenger, and won’t miss a thing. With the help of our plugin you can manage your tasks and conversations on the go, without opening your Jira or email.
From your Jira account, you can create project chats and issue chats. In the account, you can add users to the chat by choosing their Jira profiles from the dropdown and assign chat administrators. For issue chats, you can enable notifications for any standard Jira issue events (created, commented, etc.) and auto-posting all messages from the chat to the issue comments section. Project teams use project chats to stay connected, no matter what tasks they are working on. Issue chats, on the other hand, are focused on a particular task.
Let's imagine you have a major P1 incident (we hope you don’t, but such things happen). To keep your operation team on the same page and make communication instant, you create a Jira ticket with an issue chat on Telegram.
If the auto-posting is off, you can still make your Telegram message show up in the issue comments. To do this, use the /comment command: type /comment [your text].
To log time without leaving the messenger, use the /worklog command: type /worklog [ISSUE_KEY]. This command can be used only in a private chat with the bot.
Telegram Cloud Plugin allows managers to create Jira tasks directly on Telegram, in the chat with BotFather — Telegram account, designed to manage other bots:
A new issue will automatically appear on your Jira account.
Have you heard about our plugin before, and if not, would you try it now? Let us know in a comment below.
