Is {{design.status}} supported?

Giancarlo Degani August 7, 2024

Hello there,

i've set up the Jira/Figma integration and an automation rule to add a comment to the Jira issue the the design is updated.

Here is the message template:

The design {{design.name}} has been updated.

Current design status: {{design.status}}

Unfortunately, the design.status smart value doesn't work

It's replaced with the string   "none".

Any suggestion would be really appreciated.

Hi @Giancarlo Degani ,

Did you check this documentation: https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/jira-smart-values-design/?

I also found some documentation on the Figma site: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039827834-Jira-and-Figma.

I'll try to configure it on my instance.

I checked this smart value on my instance and everything works fine. If you see value "none", it looks that there is no status set on the design. When you changed it in Figma as "Ready for development", you will see "Ready for dev" on the issue and the automation should work fine.

Thank you so much @Kate Pawlak _Appsvio_  I'll test it again and let you know.
