Hi Team,
Migration from JIRA DC to cloud is complete and also the script runner plugin has an automated migration path available through JCMA migration tool.
While validating the data in the cloud, noticed that the script editor tab is not there in the cloud. It is hard for me to understand as I'm a beginner to this plugin.
Can any one help me to understand more on this?
Thanks!
Hi @Mano Chitra ,
As @Nikola Perisic already stated, the best way when it comes to migrating ScriptRunner is to use official Migration Assistant. However, as there are some major backend differences between on-prem and cloud platforms, when it comes to ScriptRunner, you'll probably have to rewrite some (if not most) of the scripts. As stated in the link Nikola provided:
Be aware that any migration from Server to Cloud (manual or through the Atlassian Cloud Migration Assistant) will require rewriting scripts.
Also, there are some limitations and missing functionalities/features when it comes to cloud version of ScriptRunner, such as there is no Script Editor on the cloud version. You can find the full list here of differences: https://docs.adaptavist.com/sr4js/latest/scriptrunner-migration/migrating-to-or-from-cloud/feature-parity
Cheers,
Tomislav
Welcome to the community @Mano Chitra ! Even if you do migrate the scripts, almost none of them will work because ScriptRunner for cloud works only based on API's. Groovy scripts are not supported on cloud.

You can follow the guide from here: https://docs.adaptavist.com/sr4js/latest/scriptrunner-migration/migrating-to-or-from-cloud/migrate-from-scriptrunner-for-jira-server-dc-to-cloud
It is recommended to use the Atlassian cloud assistant.
