Can I Continue Using the JIRA App Instead of Didit?

Nikita Phunde June 3, 2024

Hi,

I'd like to know if I can still use the JIRA app, as I don't want to use Didit. Please, let me know if it's compulsory or anything to do with our regular Jira workflow.

Prompt response will be appreciated!

Thanks,

Hi @Nikita Phunde ,

Checklists in Jira issues are not a feature available out of the box, and there are several checklist apps available, including Didit Checklists. When you ask about the Jira app, do you mean Jira as a product, or a separate app (plugin/customization)? If you no longer want to use an app, you can uninstall it.

Concerning your workflow, you will need to ask your Jira admin for more information about your specific Jira instance. For example, has a validator been set that requires a Didit checklist to be completed before being able to transition an issue? Here on Community we are all volunteers, so we can't know if your Jira workflow has been customized.

Hi

Thank you for your quick response!

When I said Jira app, I meant that Jira product overall (service management/work management.etc).  Also there's no validator set for using Didit checklist for Jira app collaboratively.

Also the main intention for asking above question is because I have been getting warning for a while now for didit checklist being licensed product. But, we have never used that feature and not planning to do so. I've attached SS below:

We don't want to license this and doing that will it affect my Jira product?

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

@Nikita Phunde If you do not need a checklist app, you need to uninstall the app. If you are not the Jira Product admin, you need to ask your admin to uninstall the app.
