We're from the Time Metrics app with the announcement — introducing a new chart for your Jira Dashboard: the Cycle Time Scatterplot!
If you are a Scrum master, Agile coach, PM, or Engineering manager, you will most likely know what I am talking about.
This chart calculates the cycle time of issues within a given time frame and visualizes the relationship between two values.
You can identify trends and patterns: by analyzing the distribution of dots on the chart, so you can:
- Spot outliers - identify tasks that took significantly longer than others to complete.
- Recognize trends - observe if cycle times are generally increasing, decreasing, or remaining stable over time.
- Identify potential bottlenecks - notice if certain periods consistently have longer cycle times.
