Hi everybody!
I'd like to know if you already have experience with running asynchronous meetings with Confluence.
Async refers to the fact that participants don't need to be live in the meeting but can contribute whenever it works best for them.
Personally, I think it's a fancy word and even contradicts itself since meeting=meet in live and asyc=work on different schedules. I can't come up with a better term right now.
I'm Product Manager at Meetical, we build an App for Confluence to automate and ease all meeting management tasks. We have a macro that can generate a table of participants with customizable columns. This is great, and now we want to make it even easier to use this feature. We'll add a new template soon.
I'd love to hear your ideas around async meetings, your best practices, and as well any ideas on a potential template for an async status meeting.
Here's a draft:
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Thanks, @Peter DelSordo! Yes, that would be the idea :) - What is the most time-consuming meeting from this perspective for you? And how would you layout a template to make the meeting async?
The biggest challenge is the multiple Stand-ups in a single day, to try and cover multiple timezones. I like the idea of having a Meeting Template that guides Global Teams to work Asynchronously. How I handle this challenge is to get the Meeting Host(s) to record these meetings and then make the recordings available right afterwards. This facilitates collaboration across timezones without having to make Team Members get up at, or stay up to wee hours of the morning! So, I would say adding a section to the Meetical Template to keep these recordings organized would be helpful.
Hello all, great news we added new templates to our App: The asynchronous status meeting and a daily standup template.
Here is the async status meeting template in action:
We've also added a new template for daily stand up.
Since the participants are automatically @mentioned, the template can be used nicely for async daily meetings too.
Here is the template after the page got created:
And here is an example of the daily standup template for Confluence in action:
There is also new templates for Project Kick-Off and simple Retrospectives.
Please note, your admin might need to activate these templates from the Meetical configuration if you did override the default templates.
Both templates can of course be used in conjunction with our Confluence automation feature, so pages will be created automatically ahead of time.
How do you like these new features and templates?
@Dąbrowski Damian these templates are included with Meetical Meetings for Confluence
