2. Team Permissions

Team permissions in TeamBoard TimePlanner is a feature that allows administrators to set specific permissions and roles for each team member.

Team Permission

  1. Within the group structure, there are two default roles leader and member.

  2. Admins can also create custom roles within their groups and assign members to the respective roles.

  3. Each role can have different or similar access levels, including permissions related to work logs, schedules, and team management. So, this means a member can hold multiple roles simultaneously.

This decentralization allows managers to control the actions of team members while enabling members to focus on tasks relevant to their roles. This approach helps optimize teamwork, streamlines workflows, and maintains security and accountability within your team.

For detailed information on what these permissions entail and how to set them up correctly in TeamBoard TimePlanner, please refer to our guide on team permissions.

3. App permission

TeamBoard TimePlanner offers a comprehensive permission configuration system, enabling you to assign specific access rights to users. This feature ensures strict control over app access and usage of its functionalities. The new app permissions are categorized into 3 groups: App Admin, Viewer, and Approver.

  • Admin: Admin is the highest level of administrative rights, designed for different managerial roles: App Admin, Team Admin, Client Admin and Billing/Cost Admin

App admin permission

  • Viewer: View permissions are designed to strictly control app access and restrict the use of its functions. Users with Viewer rights can only view specific functions, including Timesheets, Schedules, Clients, and Billing/Cost. This ensures that they have access to necessary information without the ability to modify any data.

App viewer permission

  • Approver: Approver permissions are designed for users responsible for approving various aspects of the app. Leave Approver rights are ideal for HR department staff and team leaders, while Timesheet Approver rights are suited for team leaders, project leaders, and project managers.
