In our latest ProScheduler update, version 1.5.1 - AC for Jira Cloud, we at the DevSamurai team are thrilled to introduce some powerful new features designed to make project management in Jira smoother and more intuitive. Automated task planning based on original estimates, streamlines your scheduling process, while our new notification system helps you stay on top of tasks and deadlines. Importing projects is easier than ever with CSV and Excel support, and custom field sorting options in Gantt and Timeline views enhance data management. With this update, you can automatically plan tasks using Jira’s Original Estimate. Simplify set the task’s start and end dates along with the original estimate, and TeamBoard will divide the estimated hours across the duration, simplifying project planning.
This feature allows teams to use the original estimate as a fixed parameter for tracking progress while maintaining the integrity of original estimates and reducing the complexity of manual planning.
Navigate to General Settings and enable “Plan with original estimation field” under Estimation fields. (Note: This feature is available only for date mapping projects.)
Create a ticket, input the start date, end date, and original estimate, and assign it to an assignee to sync with TeamBoard.
Once the task is scheduled, you can adjust start and end dates by dragging the task card in TeamBoard. Daily scheduling hours will automatically adapt to maintain the original estimate.
Stay on top of your tasks with notifications right in “Teamboard Notifications.” Now, you’ll be alerted whenever a task is assigned to you or an event is scheduled, helping you manage deadlines more effectively.
To customize your notifications, go to “My Settings” → “Notifications,” where you can choose to disable notifications or receive them via email.
With our new event reminders, you’ll never miss a beat. When setting up an event, you can now schedule reminders for all participants, keeping everyone on track.
Simply choose a start time and set the reminder interval, so everyone receives timely alerts about the event.
This feature ensures that all participants are well-prepared and organized for upcoming activities, helping you manage your schedule with ease.
Transferring project data into TeamBoard is now even simpler. While previously limited to MPP and MPT files, you can now import data directly from CSV or Excel files. This new feature streamlines the process of migrating projects, allowing you to upload detailed information straight to your Gantt chart. With seamless data transfer, setting up your projects in TeamBoard has never been easier or faster.
Organizing tasks in your Gantt and Timeline views are now more flexible with the ability to sort by custom fields. Additionally, this enhancement allows you to arrange tasks based on specific attributes like priority, assignee, or time spent, etc, making it easier to locate and analyze relevant project information at a glance.
By customizing your view, you can streamline task management, ensuring you focus on the details that matter most to your workflow. This feature helps keep your project data organized and accessible.
With the Gantt bulk feature, you can now quickly search for and locate team members by name, making it more efficient to assign and organize tasks. This enhancement is especially useful for large teams where finding specific members could previously be time-consuming.
We’ve refined the accuracy of the Σ Original Estimate calculations, giving you the flexibility to choose between Jira’s formula or our custom TeamBoard formula. Therefore, this option allows you to track project estimates in a way that best suits your project’s needs.

We’ve enhanced the “Show Weekend” setting on the Timelog tab to offer better usability. Now, you can easily toggle weekend visibility based on your scheduling needs, allowing for clearer time tracking and project planning even for tasks extending over weekends.
After creating time-off entries, they now appear as dedicated time-off cards on the Timelog tab. This update improves your ability to visualize team members’ availability and better plan around their schedules. By making time-off notes more visible, you can manage resource allocation with greater precision.
