Simplifying Release Management for a Multi-Regional, Multi-Team Real Estate Software Giant

Managing with various product teams and managing release notes across several regions can be a difficult and tedious task. This challenge was faced by one of our top real estate software customers. 

They enhanced productivity and changed their workflow by setting the Automated Release Notes & Reports app for Jira into practice.

The problem: Managing Releases Across Multiple Regions

The customer used Jira to manage over 140 projects across three different regions. The release manager was in charge of coordinating releases and writing release notes in collaboration with product owners and managers. • Interactive Interface: The customer found it simple to set up templates, workflows, and rules for release notes across regions due to the recently updated app interface.

• Centralized Template Repository: The customer could access a central repository of templates, ensuring uniformity in the style and material of release notes across all regions.

• Real-Time Dashboards: The customer could now monitor release activities in real time across regions due to the newly added dashboard tab. It provided them with much-needed oversight and visibility.

• AI-Powered Generator for Confluence Templates: An AI generator was integrated into the Confluence templates, which reduced manual efforts and increased accuracy. Automating the release note creation process were made easier by this app.

By using the app, the customer experienced several transformative benefits:

• Streamlined coordination Across Regions: Coordination of release notes for teams spread out over multiple regions became a seamless process. It centralised template repository and automation capabilities. Now, the customer could easily handle release notes specific to each region without having to manually coordinate with each team.

• Significant Time Savings: Managing release notes was a recurring task that took a lot of time due to the customer's frequent release schedule. Every product manager involved in the process saved a few hours a month with the automated release notes and reports app. It led to significant time savings for the entire company.

• Improved accuracy and reduced rework: Errors and inconsistencies were common when creating release notes manually. Automated release notes and reports significantly increased the accuracy of release documentation. It also decreased the need for rework by utilizing JQL-based release notes and adaptable templates.

The Impact: Transforming Release Management

Region-specific release notes simplified coordination and automated work tracking with the ARNR app. The customer was able to concentrate on higher-priority tasks because the AI-powered Confluence templates reduced processing times. It increased workflow effectiveness and guaranteed more accurate release documentation.
