Are you using the Azure AD Attributes for Jira app to sync user attributes from Microsoft Azure AD with Jira Cloud?
If so, we have some exciting new features and updates to share with you! Here's what's new in the latest versions of our app:
Support for multiple Azure Instances: If your user data is stored across multiple Azure AD instances, we've got you covered. Now, you can configure up to five Azure user directories in the app. The application will search across all configured directories to find the relevant user data. All added directories share a common configuration for ease of management.
Hierarchy display in the application sidebar: We've introduced a brand-new feature that allows you to visualize the management hierarchy within your organization. With this functionality, you can now see who reports to whom, not only at a direct level but also up to three levels deep. This hierarchical view provides valuable insights into your organization's structure.
Notifications for Approvers: In the past, in response to feedback from our users, we temporarily disabled email notifications generated by our product due to their frequency. However, this had an unintended side effect β users assigned as approvers for Jira Service Management requests were not receiving notifications to approve requests. In our latest version, we've addressed this issue. You can now opt to receive notifications for the approval process, keeping you in the loop about pending approvals.
Support for additional attributes: We understand that different organizations have unique attribute requirements. That's why we've added support for syncing additional attributes as per your specific needs. Now, you can synchronize attributes like SAM accountName, mail nickname, and hire date, providing you with greater flexibility in managing user data.
Azure attribute name updates in app configuration: To enhance clarity and consistency, we've aligned the user properties visible in Azure AD with those displayed in our app's configuration. This means that attribute names in Azure AD now match the names in our app, simplifying the configuration process.
We hope these enhancements simplify your user management in Jira. If you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to share them with us here or via our Support Portal. Your input helps us continue to improve our product to meet your needs effectively π
