Hi @blabla70

If you're looking for a Jira Cloud to Power BI connector that balances quality and cost, consider our BI Exporter for Jira. It comes in both a FREE version and a paid PRO version. The FREE version lets you export up to 20,000 issues with basic Jira fields, which is ideal for many users.

For those with more advanced needs, the PRO version unlocks additional features like access to all Jira fields (including custom fields), unlimited export capabilities, and the ability to share data sources.

What sets our plugin apart is that it's a multi-BI connector and advanced exporter in one. You can export Jira data not only to Power BI but also to Tableau, Looker Studio, and even formats like CSV or JSON.

Designed with user-friendliness in mind, it offers great functionality at a competitive price. If you have any specific needs, feel free to reach out!

Apologies if this sounds more like a promotion; we understand you were looking for practical advice from other users. However, we genuinely believe our solution could be a great fit for your needs, and we hope you'll find it useful! :)

Best regards,
theCode4 Team

Thanks a lot for the explanations,

It seems that Atlassian Jira Cloud to Power BI, FREE version (which includes BI Exporter for Jira), would be the solution we need for now.

The only doubt I have is about Jira fields.
Could you tell me what are "basic Jira fields"? (where can I see it considering that I don't have a Jira admin user)

How should I proceed to connect Jira to BI?

Best,
JN

Hi @blabla70

When we refer to "Basic Jira fields," we mean the standard fields that come with Jira Work Management. These include fields like Issue ID, Issue Key, Worklog ID, Field Type, History, Comment, and many more. You can find the full list in our documentation here.

Custom fields and fields from Jira Software, Service Management, Assets, etc., are available in the PRO version, which offers an excellent quality-to-price ratio.

To connect Jira to Power BI using BI Exporter:

  1. Install BI Exporter for Jira (or request your Admin to install it for you).
  2. Generate an API token.
  3. Create a Data Source.
  4. Connect to Power BI.

You’ll find detailed guidance in our documentation as well.

If you run into any issues or have further questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to assist!

Best regards,

Hi again, we are thinking of purchasing the connector so I need a quote for the cost. Who can help me with this?

I see that  the price is tied to the "number of users". And I wonder if it refers to Jira users or the connector itself?

Thanks in advance!
