I am getting up to speed on using Active Objects in my plugin. When it comes to unit testing I see that there is support for the JUnit framework via ActiveObjectsJUnitRunner. Is there equivalent support for the TestNG framework?

There is no support for TestNG in ActiveObjects at the moment.
However if you feel like developping one I'm happy to integrate it in once you have something working. The project is currently at http://activeobjects.java.net/, create an issue, submit a patch and I'll have a look.
