OwnCloud integration

We use multiple OwnCloud servers for our internal file storage. Has anyone created a plugin for linking files/folders from OwnCloud to Confluence?

I managed to get it to work by creating a webdav folder on owncloud. However it is very slow!! If you are using a ldap server you can authenticate via the current logged in session. I believe there needs to be an organized caching system that can track changes, because if you use the offline client every client wants to traverse the directory and it can take forever get perform file syncs.
