I am thinking about using Flask (Python) to develop a connect add-on. The Atlassian documentation always uses JavaScript/NodeJS in their examples. Is there any significant advantages on using a platform over the other.

I would also love to hear more about the experience of other devs who may already have developed a Connect add-on with Flask.

I wrote the ac-flask-hipchat library because I used that code in several HipChat add-ons and thought other Python folks may find it useful.
