Liking the badge and voting system as an incentive for people to contribute good content. Any plans to incorporate this sort of thing into JIRA and/or Confluence?

There was the Jira Hero plugin created during the codegiest comp this year: https://plugins.atlassian.com/plugin/details/42092 so its certainly possible to do.
There is also some page voting/rating plugins around for Confluence on pac so some of the functionality is out there already.
Cheers folks :)

CWD-2144 didn't get any traction or response.
Confluence, Jira, etc. are using embedded Crowd (starting with Jira 4.3 and Confluence 3.5), and it Crowd seems like it might be appropriate place to associate the user object with karma, badges, etc. But another way to look at it is that Crucible needs its own set of badges, as does Confluence, as does Jira- so, where is the overlap besides just wanting to see them all together in one spot every once in a while? Whereever/however they implement it, it would probably be a good thing. Sure it might not be a good thing to large companies that see it as a distraction, but it could be optional.
