Community release notes for April 26, 2018

Release notes from our newest developer, @max!

  • New: When you create a new post related to a product, you now have the option to select Cloud or Server. This will automatically add the right tags to the post, will provide more information to those trying to answer questions, and eventually route the questions into Cloud and Server subcollections where applicable!

  • Update: Hovercards are showing on Community Showcase authors, so you can hover over their avatars and learn more about them
  • Update: Articles were updated with a new template to show more information about the author (for example, you can now see if an article author is a Community Manager -- check it out at the top right of this very article)
  • Fixed: Stray references to JIRA were changed to Jira
  • New: Added the ability for moderators to bulk-replace tags -- this will help us keep community content organized and tags consistent!

Thanks for the great updates, Max! 🎉

This made my day- thank you! Another update with very useful functionality for everyone (the bulk-replace tags for mods will save so much time) and the Cloud vs Server question has been on our wish list for forever. Getting these checked off shows that this community is getting better and better.

Excited about the tag replacer and tag-auto-insertion :) Sometimes you can answer a question for both Server and Cloud in one go, but always helpful to know first!
