Hi everyone,
The Atlassian Navigation team has been relentlessly working to deliver a new, modern navigation system that will enhance consistency, flexibility, and efficiency.
Following the success of our Early Access Program (EAP) in October 2024, we’re now extending an open invite to all users for our Beta launch.
At Atlassian, our mission is to unleash the potential of every team, and navigation (top and side) in our products is central to how teams find and move work forward. We’ve heard that the existing navigation can sometimes feel inconsistent, rigid, and cumbersome, and used this feedback to build a new navigation.
The new navigation hopes to:
Deliver a unified look and feel: Enjoy a seamless and consistent experience across Atlassian products, reducing friction and boosting efficiency as you effortlessly switch between them.
Empower you to customize your workspace: Personalize our products to fit your unique way of working and individual preferences.
Enable you to stay in the flow: Declutter your space, focus on what matters, and get to your work with fewer clicks.
Uplift the experience with a new look and feel: Atlassian’s updated visuals—featuring new color scales, iconography, and typography—offer a fresh, modern experience while enhancing readability, accessibility, and scalability.
After weeks of rigorously testing functionality and feature parity internally and with a closed Early Access Program (EAP), we’ve validated key assumptions, gathered feedback, and learnt from the cohort.
We’re thrilled to invite you to our Beta launch, where you can test Atlassian’s new navigation, validate the experience, and provide feedback that will shape what we launch for all customers.
Note: The new navigation's Beta launch will soon be available for Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Jira Service Management, and Atlassian Home. Confluence navigation will be available later this year. When you sign up, you can let us know if you want to experience the new navigation in all the products.
As the new navigation is enabled at the site level, all users on the site URL will have it enabled by default. Don’t worry—you and your users can turn on/off the new navigation at any time, and it won’t affect other users.
So we’re looking for admins to sign up to enable the new navigation at the site level.
And yes, you can use the new navigation in testing and Sandbox environments.
If you’re not an admin, and you’re interested in participating in this Beta launch, you can:

Sign up now and leave your admin’s details
In the meantime, join our focus group to ask questions, raise concerns, and connect with the team working on the new navigation.
Note: If you’re part of the EAP we launched in October 2024, the new navigation will still be enabled on your site so you and your users can continue using it.
During the Beta launch, our goal is to collect feedback from users and learn from you and your team.
Share with us:
Bugs, issues, and improvements in the new navigation
Any tasks you found challenging to complete using the new navigation
What’s working well for you

In the meantime, join me for an AMA session to stay informed about key experience changes, learn about the Beta launch, and get your questions answered live in preparation for general availability, expected in early 2025.
Cheers,
The Atlassian Navigation Team
