Need to capture epic with story filter for my board

I am trying to write a board filter that filters based on a story value (Threat Identification).  These stories may come from multiple projects.  Unfortunately my filter does not automatically bring the stories corresponding epic onto the board.  Is there a filter function that I can use to 'grab' the epic along with the stories I am filtering?  I have tried a number of options (parentissuesof, childissuesof, etc) but with no luck.  Any suggestions?

Filter Query  =>  "Threat Identification" is not EMPTY

Maybe you can use

project = <project_name> AND "Epic Link" is EMPTY

Thanks Luan.  My current filter brings back about 100 story rows but I want the associated epics to be returned as well.  I still can figure out the JQL syntax, or maybe it's not possible.  I know there are a number of ways to go from Epic to Stories but it does not appear I can go the other way.
